Through stunning color “portraits” of specimens, scientifically-accurate text panels, and surprising stories highlighting Indigenous peoples’ and women’s connections to seaweed, The Curious World of Seaweed provides a new look at marine flora.

The Curious World of Seaweed features the works and research of Josie Iselin, a photographer, author, and designer of many books.

Mark Making: Dots, Lines, Textures
Exhibition run: Sept. 17, 2026 – Nov. 11, 2026
Artists employ techniques to create visual elements that are unique: brushstrokes on canvas, dashes in ink or graphite, or incised lines. While some of the dabs of paint, brush-marks, or patterning are conscious, much mark-making is accidental or unconscious.
Opening Reception: September 17, 6PM, Refreshments provided.
