The spring sessions will be a continuation of the fall campaign with two clubs meeting in the morning and the afternoon on alternate Saturdays. The morning meeting is 10 am - 1 pm and the afternoon meeting is 1:30 pm - 4:30 pm with a half-hour lunch break when pizza is provided for all D&D Club members.

You may sign up for some or all of the dates but you should select either AM or PM and stick with that group.

If you need to cancel, you can do so online or email the Teen Librarian, Rebecca Jung, at [email protected].

The D&D Club will meet on the following Saturdays unless otherwise announced:

January 17 and 31
February 14 and 28
March 14 and 28
April 11 and 25
May 9 and 23

Programs will include:

  • How to play D&D
  • How to become a Dungeon Master to run your own quests
  • Participation in quests and adventures

The benefits of the club include:

  • Storytelling, use of imagination and creativity
  • Increasing interpersonal relations and collaborative abilities through teamwork
  • Developing SEL skills (Social-Emotional Learning)

Benefits of the D&D Club are both educational and recreational and allow students to make friends and participate in extracurricular activities in a friendly, teen-centric environment.

D&D Club will meet in the Workshop in Teen Room and sometimes visit the Makerspace for hands-on activities that may include: 3D printing, painting, laser-cutting, sewing and other crafts.

D&D Club will be supervised by Eric Humphrey, a long-time D&D player, whose experience includes being a Dungeon Master since 2015 running games for adults and mixed groups, including children age 11 and older. Eric has recently started running games for students between the ages of 5-13 at the Lagunitas School in the San Geronimo Valley where he has worked as a classroom aide and a supervisor in an afterschool program since 2022.

Snacks and pizza lunch will be provided and students are encouraged to bring water bottles and their own snacks/lunch if they are picky eaters or have allergies.
