Join us for a journey to the world of folktales with Storyteller and Folklorist, Ruth Stotter.
Fulbright scholar, storyteller and author, Ruth Stotter has performed and taught storytelling in Africa, Portugal, Canada, Thailand, and India. In this presentation she will intertwine analyzing fairytales with performance. Ruth’s awards include the Lifetime Oracle Achievement Award from the National Storytelling Network and the Reading the World Award from the University of California.
Ruth Stotter is the author of "About Story, More About Story", and most recently, "One Hundred Memorable Quotes about Stories and Storytelling". She produced and hosted “The Oral Tradition” on KUSF for eight years and directed the Certificate-in-Storytelling program at Dominican College. Ruth has degrees from Stanford University, UC Berkeley and Sonoma State University.
