Kathleen Kelly Janus is an expert in social innovation, philanthropy and public-private partnerships. As a Senior Advisor at Freedman Consulting, she provides strategic guidance to charitable foundations and advances cross-sector partnerships.
Janus is also a Stanford University lecturer where she has been teaching international human rights and social entrepreneurship for 15 years.
Most recently, she served as the Senior Advisor on Social Innovation to Governor Gavin Newsom, leading over 50 public-private partnerships totaling $4.2 billion.
She is the author of Social Startup Success: How the Best Nonprofits Launch, Scale Up and Make a Difference, a playbook for early-stage nonprofit organizations.
